4/6/2020 COVID-19 update

There are still no residents or staff members with symptoms or a diagnosis of COVID-19 at Waters Edge Lodge or Elders Inn.

We are monitoring daily and taking extreme precautions with staff and residents to limit our community’s exposure to the virus.  We remain at risk level ORANGE.

Everyone here is committed to keeping residents and staff safe, so, we are practicing social distancing and limiting risk of exposure. Here is a short review of our current situation:

Residents have been given masks, and are wearing them when walking in the hallways or other common areas.

Food and PPE supplies are stocked and remain at good levels, we have not needed to tap into any of the reserve/emergency supplies.

Virtual visits are going well, and are great ways to stay in contact and connected.  If you would like to sign up, but have not yet please call the front desk or the Administrator.

Kaiser and Stanford Medical have notified us that upcoming appointments will be virtual, and Zoom cannot be used.

Virtual medical appointments require residents use the dedicated patient portal provided by their medical group. This means that to set up these appointments, we need temporary access to the resident’s Patient Portal, for Kaiser that is KP.org and for Stanford Medical Group it is MyHealth.

Please, call the Administrator or the Nurse for assistance in setting up an appointment.

Residents appointments will take place in a private area, once the meeting has started we will leave the room. AEC staff will only stay in the room during the appointment if asked by the resident or responsible party.
