The Waters Edge Lodge Front Desk often the nerve center for the entire building. A few years ago when it was only the receptionist, it was as the job of the Receptionist to be a Jack/Jill of all trades: Cookie Baker, Office Supply Orderer, Security, Plant Nursery Attendant, Assistant Activities Coordinator, and Concierge for the surrounding area. After a fashion, it was decided that it would help the residents more to have a full-time Concierge at the front desk to help plan activities, direct people to helpful points of interest, assist residents with administrative needs and occasionally take on the role of receptionist while they remained on break. Katrina is not the first, but now her name is synonymous with the role of Concierge at the Waters Edge Lodge Lodge, so much so that we couldn’t imagine the position without her. It’s been a great year with Katrina and the Waters Edge Lodge residents have experienced a benefit for her being there for them.
