A four-week introduction to managing a Parkinson’s diagnosis. Each lecture will elaborate on a symptom of the disease and ways to combat it, including at home exercises.

1 Stand Tall: Overview of anticipated postural and balance changes. Stretch together and try standing balance exercises to prevent falls.

2 Speak Clearly: Overview of facial, voice and swallowing changes. Fun and loud exercise to preserve quality and swallow safely.
Wednesday, April 11th

3 Shake Less: Overview of tremors and loss of fine motor control. Take home a tennis ball to practice clinically-tested tremors routine.

4 Stay Positive: Overview of memory loss and mood changes. Find joy in memories and play brain games to stay sharp and on task.
