3/22/2020 COVID-19 update
No residents or staff members have symptoms or a diagnosis of COVID-19.
We are monitoring daily and taking extreme precautions with staff and residents to limit our community’s exposure. We remain at risk level ORANGE.
A huge thanks to our team members who continue to work diligently keeping our residents safe and as comfortable as possible during this difficult time – we are so proud of you all! Both facilities continue to be fully staffed. We are shifting work duties in certain departments to ensure extra cleaning goes on throughout the day.
Thank you for your patience and caring during this time. We understand it is difficult for everyone, and hard when you can’t visit your loved ones. To help prevent isolation, we have created different ways for you to check in on your friends and family at The Lodge and Elders Inn.
Zoom video conferencing has been installed on iPads residents can borrow to make scheduled virtual visits. We are happy to help schedule a time for you to “visit” (and also set up the call for the resident). If you would like to set up a time, please call the front desk and speak with the receptionist or Administrator.
Conference calls are available. If residents do not want to use the iPad, or do not have a phone of their own, we can help facilitate a call from the conference room. If necessary, we can schedule calls, remind residents to call, or help make the calls.
Socially distanced visits. We have set up an area at each building where family members can come and sit at a table and chairs outside, then call their family member, who will be sitting on the other side of the window at the table and chairs inside the building. If the window wasn’t there you’d be sitting at the same table.
If you have any additional ideas about ways that we can keep families and residents socially connected and engaged while adhering to our required precautions, please let us know. Our goal is to keep our residents safe, supported, and connected.
We will continue to post updates about the community. If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime please call your facility and speak with the Administrator or Associate Administrator.
