Sean O’S. Marks His 12th Year at AEC Living as Receptionist and Administrative Assistant.

It comes a bit of tongue and cheek and while he writes this in the third person [slow mug to the audience], but yes, it’s true.. Sean is the one that is presently acting as the social media content manager for AEC Living, and has several hats hung up next to him with the unofficial and official titles of: Junior Graphic Designer, Copywriter, Brand Manager, Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, IT helpdesk, Front Desk, Marketing assistant,  Activities Assistant, Maintenance & Janitorial, Nortel phone system massager, blogger, [deep breath] jack of all trades, and sometimes he still finds time to substitute in his reprised role as Front Desk and Reception at Elders Inn and The Lodge.

Sean’s been with the company for so long that even he forgets exactly when he started, but Sean’s history goes roughly back to 2009 as a pm and weekend receptionist at Elders Inn, then off to the Nursing home as their Lead Front Desk and receptionist, until he was called back to the Inn once again after AEC Living gave up control of the Skilled Nursing Facility to Alameda hospital, then was summoned to take the lead as receptionist at Waters Edge Lodge in 2013 and eventually found his way back to Elders Inn as the Lead Receptionist there and was the nerve center for information at the Inn right up until he was kicked upstairs as the Lead Receptionist /Office Manager/ Administrative Assistant at our Corporate Office with a can-do attitude and a cup of lukewarm java in his left hand.

Are we lost yet? Fear not. What matters the most is that Sean is appreciated, and it’s firmly believed that despite what is said at the end of the day.. AEC has shown him through actions and personal support that this isn’t just a businessit’s a family. And part of the reason why our employees work so hard is due to the residents, the families who’ve become our friends along the road, our fellow staff, and the fact that we work in an environment that truly cares.

Usually, we say thanks at the end of these.. but, you’re welcome. <3
