Great Educational Talk About Safety

Thank you Elders Village for the great educational talk about safety! Everyone present learned a lot.

Dena Aindow from the District Attorney’s office talked to us about “good habits”  to help keep ourselves safe from frauds and scams.

Captain Michael DeGrano from the Alameda Fire Department spoke about Disaster Preparedness and gave us some homework to do, including making sure we have at least 3 gallons of water available for every person living in our home, just in case there is a disaster that cuts off water supply. Three gallons is about three days worth of drinking water.

Dale Woolley from Alameda Elders Services helped us notice the little things in and around our homes that can help prevent us from falling.

Thank you Dena Aindow, Captain Michael DeGrano and Dale Woolley for a very informative and interesting evening.
