The AEC Living group of companies got to show off all that they represent in our community by hosting the August Greater Alameda Business Association mixer at the Elders Inn/Phoenix Commons offices on Webster Street. GABA mixers are a great opportunity for businesses to share information with other small businesses in an intimate setting. Phoenix Commons members were even on hand to schmooze and educate attendees on understanding the cohousing model. To keep it all in the family, the food was prepared by our CEO, Lauren Zimmerman Cook.

The Greater Alameda Business Association is an organization dedicated to the growth and prosperity of independent businesses within Alameda.

AEC Living companies are comprised of Elders Inn (assisted living and memory care); The Lodge at Harbor Bay (assisted living); AES Therapy & Fitness (senior focused physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and personal training); Elders Village (nonprofit providing free talks in the community on senior related topics); and the beautiful new senior cohousing community of Phoenix Commons.  Phoenix Commons is a community inspired by cohousing and offers resident owners the unique opportunity to create a community together; one that reflects their values, needs, and aspirations for this chapter of life.  There are many benefits derived from the caring relationships, common sense of purpose, and the mutual support that develops between a close knit community of peers.
