6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at The Lodge
The Easter Bunny came by today,
& left surprises along his way.
Colorful eggs are all around,
with baskets in hand,
we search the ground.
Hiding in places here & there,
Easter Eggs are everywhere!
This year’s Easter Egg Hunt was our best ever! The weather was perfect and the smell of cotton candy permeated the air and gave a carnival feel to the festivities. There was popcorn, snow cones, beautiful fresh fruit and veggie platters, yummy assorted cookies, drinks, and – of course – cotton candy. Children of all ages were delighted with the Easter Egg hunt for prizes, (the smiles on their faces were so cute). We also played Heads or Tails, that was a big hit as well with two grand prizes and two runner-up prizes. The photo booth was a big hit, as always. And the Easter Bunny, as large as life, was visiting with everyone and taking pictures.
This year we invited Bright Horizons School to join us for the festivities. They perform so often to entertain our residents, we thought they should enjoy the fun with our residents, staff, and families. One of the big highlights was Alameda West Coast Performers including our own Vincent (from activities) dancing. Everyone was amazing but Vincent was our personal favorite! (The residents were so thrilled to see him perform.)
The whole afternoon was a lot of fun and we are looking forward to next year’s event!
