Our “Spoonful of Sugar” Mary Poppins themed ice cream social was a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious success! We had a huge crowd come down to our amazing event, the residents are still talking about all the fun they had and how it took them to another era. We had delicious vanilla ice cream and a variety of toppings to choose from including strawberry, chocolate, & caramel sauce, sprinkles, and whipped cream. The Mary Poppins movie was playing in the background so we were all able to enjoy the magical, musical stylings of Mary Poppins and her friend Bert while enjoying our ice cream. To sweeten the event even more, residents received miniature spoons with a sugar cube as a souvenir. At the end of the afternoon everyone practically skipped away, humming “Lets Go Fly A Kite” and wearing a smile that reached from ear to ear.
