Fortune Cookie Cafe at the Lodge
Each month, at The Lodge, we enjoy a different region of the world through food and entertainment. This month, we were transport to China to celebrate the year of the Rooster, for the Chinese New Year. The dining area were decorated with lanterns and red flowers decorated the tables.
For dinner, residents started off with a yummy Cha Su Bao Bun (BBQ Pork Buns), Wonton Soup & other delicious starters, then they choose their main course: Lemon Chicken, Broccoli & Beef, and Shrimp Stir-Fry. For the final course, they had an assortment of Chinese desserts. For entertainment, they enjoyed a beautiful performance by Mandy Cheung.
The World Tour is a program we have been developing for over 20 years. Through this program, each month we focus on exploring different cultures and peoples from around the world. The World Tour dives into an exploration of food, music, and history of the various regions of our beautiful planet through lunch outings or social meals, performers, parties, documentary studies, and trivia.
