AEC Living at Girls, Inc. Party! with A Purpose

It was a perfectly stunning night for AEC Living team to enjoy the outside patio at the Greek Ascension Church. AEC Living folks Partied…With a Purpose!, enjoying a panoramic view, great music by The Sun Kings, great food and wine, and of course, great company for the benefit of Girls Inc. of the Island City. At AEC Living, it gives us great pleasure to support our community.

Girls Inc. of the Island City (GIIC) is an affiliate of Girls Inc., a national, nonprofit organization. Their mission is to inspire all girls to be strong (healthy), smart (educated), and bold (independent) through innovative programs, activities, and advocacy. Since 1964, they have empowered more than 24,000 girls in the city of Alameda, to realize their potential as fearless, goal-oriented young women. Trained staff and volunteers build lasting, mentoring relationships in girls-only spaces that are physically and emotionally safe and where girls find a sisterhood of support with shared drive, mutual respect, and high expectations.

Though each member of AEC Living is a separate entity, we consider ourselves a community. Our community is bigger than that though, we are part of Alameda’s wonderful community, part of the larger Bay Area community, and part of the global community. We believe that our actions have an impact on our community, and we take that into consideration when making decisions.

AEC Living takes pride in our record of giving back to our community; we love Alameda, and want it to continue to be a place we are proud to come from and proud to be in, and we believe that building a better community requires participation-you must contribute time, talent, and treasure.
