June is “Senior Safety Month”. As part of that, we’ll be posting tips for caregivers every week. The video shared below promotes a variety of tools for seniors to maintain their own independence in what has been proven to be a risky place for seniors, the bathroom.
Having a rollator style walker is one thing to inspire confidence walking around your neighborhood or going from your easy chair to the kitchen, but bathrooms can sometimes be too small for these walkers and there are a number of hard surfaces where a senior may be seriously injured. Please take a moment to look over this video if you’re a care provider or are someone who may be in need of a few helpful things to increase independence and mobility in the bathroom.
