10.09.2020 Update from the COO

We continue to have no residents or staff with symptoms or diagnosis of COVID-19

We continue to monitor the pandemic daily. Additionally, we regularly review and update our precautions and responses as advised. Our risk level remains at ORANGE.

  • We have made no changes to our policies or precautions in the last week.
  • Staff tests are conducted on schedule and continue to come back clear.
  • Our executive team continues to monitor and respond to state and county guidelines.

But the world should be so much more than COVID-19 precautions and warnings. So here’s what else is going on.

AES Therapy and Fitness is back in the buildings leading small group classes for residents! Additionally, they have been able to increase the number of personal training sessions available for residents. Please call or speak with Louisa (510-748-0158) to arrange an appointment.

Waters Edge Lodge is getting a Bocce Ball court! Ben Ratto, a bocce ball enthusiast and local Boy Sout, was a volunteer at the Lodge before the pandemic. Now, Ben is working on his Eagle Scout project and has decided to build the residents their very own bocce court! Pictures of his progress will be posted on Facebook if you’re interested.

US Elections are coming up. Because of the pandemic we will not be a polling location this year, BUT the City of Alameda has added official ballot drop boxes. Lodge residents may walk to the Bay Farm Library to drop their ballot. Elders Inn residents may catch a ride with Jessica to the closest ballot box.
